Week 12

Week 12

This week was mostly polishing up the site of code errors and visual imperfections.

The top of the page now has a darker green with the lighter background colour on the rest of the page. The side borders of the paragraphs are gone now, I left some top and bottom borders to split the content and it's the same dark green as the top of the page. I spent a while trying to have my submission form validate email addresses but with no luck. In contacts, instead of having a still frame image of a map I have added the Google maps code. I still need to put all the final content into the website so the address for now is random.

The flash animation has been finished and added to the bottom of the 'How to Help' page. I've also added a video to the top of the facts page, a documentary about deforestation. On the 'Gallery' Page I made a button for the javascript gallery. It is not interactive at the moment but if there is time left over I'll make it so. I had an issue with the scrollbar on the side of the page, If there was too much content on the page the scrollbar would appear and shift everything over a few pixels. However, I managed to sort this little bug out with 'Overflow-y: scroll;'.

I also put all my files through the w3 validator and other than a few small errors on 2 of the pages, the code appears clean!

Here are some images of the near finished site:
