This week we worked on our CA and did a small bit of Javascript. The Javascript was from the book "Head First Javascirpt" and involved getting a message to pop-up as the site loads. It wasn't too difficult and helped me get a small understanding of how javascript can be applied to a website. The code (Shown Below) has the css in the html and a picture of a pet rock in the source file.
<body onload="alert('Hello, I am your pet rock.');">
<div style="margin-top:100px; text-align:center">
<img id="rockImg" src="rock.png" alt="iRock" />
</div>
</body>
I rented out a camera from the college and took it to Ballyogan Dump to get footage for the documentary. Managed to film about 15mins of footage so editing that down shouldn't be too much of a problem.
I planned out the content that will appear on the site and wrote it down in my notebook over the course of the week. Apologies if it's unclear:
I began plotting the website in a wireframe on photoshop. I decided that on the main colours of blue and white with a little bit of green. The over head nav seemed like the right choice as it's more obvious and easier to see against the blue header background. I still havn't decided on a logo design so the logo in the picture below is a VERY rough draft. I also decided on the font Myriad Pro and on the footer went with a 'back to top' button instead of a second nav like I did on my previous site. The green boxes are NOT permanent, they're just there to see clearly how I plan on laying out each section:
Home page:
Contact page, Header and footer arn't there to save space:
More Info page: No Header or footer for space:
